Once, in an interview with a news portal, Kapil Dev, who is regarded as one of India's greatest all-rounders of all time, admitted the same. He clearly stated that Vinod Kambli had the potential to become a tall figure in Indian cricket.

However, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, Kapil Dev also emphasised the famous saying, 'Talent without hard work is nothing.' Further, in the same interview, comparing Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli's respective careers, Kapil Dev said, "Sachin Tendulkar is an example of talent plus hard work, if you are talented but not hard-working, you can go Vinod Kambli way." According to several media reports, the 52-year-old Kambli was probably dealing with physical ailments or any substance-related issues.

Vinod Kambli's financial background: Earnings, income streams, and Rs. 30,000 pension from BCCI

Talking about Vinod Kambli's financial status, he is reportedly going through a major crisis in his life. After retirement from cricket, he opened a sports academy by the name ofKhel Bharti Sports Academy and started working as a coach there. Not only this, he has also worked as a Head Coach at the MCA Academy in BKC, Mumbai. He also collaborated with several brands and even appeared in a series of podcasts before COVID-19. Things weren't perfect, but no major pressure was on his shoulders.

However, during the COVID-19, he suffered both physically and financially. As per multiple reports, he had no job after COVID-19, and most of his income streams came to a halt. From earning crores and reportedly having a net worth of 1.5 million USD, Vinod Kambli was at his lowest as he was struggling financially.

According to a report in Aaj Tak, Kambli has been surviving solely on a pension of Rs. 30,000, which he receives from BCCI. After the COVID-19, he lost his job and was unable to find a new one. With the passing of each year, he is also losing his strength and cannot work tirelessly as he used to do a few years back.

Vinod Kambli revealed Sachin Tendulkar has already helped him enough

Once, in an old interview with a news portal, Vinod Kambli discussed the prospect of approaching Sachin Tendulkar for financial aid. However, the cricketer clearly stated that his childhood friend is very much aware of his financial crisis but doesn't want to ask him for help again.

Revealing the reason, Vinod Kambli shared that Sachin has already helped him enough, and he doesn't want to approach him again for financial help. For the unversed, Kambli is married to Andrea Hewitt, and they have two kids, Jesus and Johanna. We have repeatedly seen Kambli posting pictures of his family meeting his childhood friend, Sachin Tendulkar.
