Pharmacy and Pharmacists are the most accessible healthcare professionals and are a great release value for the healthcare congestion. There are some cases where booking an appointment with a physician will simply take a crucial spot for a sicker and more critical patient. Working to refresh the knowledge learned and gaining the confidence to know ones professionals limits is the "art" that has to be emphasized. There is a shortage of healthcare workers worldwide. The answer is and should not be the lowering of standards rather the reallocation of functions based on professional competence. If the patient in front of you was your mum, dad, grandparent, child etc How would you treat them?what is your opinion? https://lnkd.in/eBFtq2Av

Silpa Saladi, Client Operations Director, discusses the importance of effectively closing the clinical care gap within the healthcare industry. Physicians face huge expectations; with each encounter, they must examine their patients, diagnose their illnesses, order appropriate labs/diagnostic exams, and coordinate care with other providers who may be involved; all while staying on schedule and seeing every patient. When a clinician documents a diagnosis, integrated Ai solutions can prompt clarifications on specificity/severity, necessary diagnostic labs, and other guideline needs. Vee Technologies' clinically trained coders, skilled IT consultants, and on-staff physicians understand exactly how your practice will benefit from having the information it requires. Closing clinical care gaps begins with prevention and ends with choosing the right team.#healthcare #providers #solutions

Here are the details of my recent experience in a foreign healthcare system:✅ Check-in - I checked in, filled out paperwork, and they asked me for payment. They put a hold on my credit card for approximately $500 USD.🕐 Waiting room - I sat in the waiting room for about 5 minutes before they called me back.👩⚕️ The nurse - The nurse took my vitals asked about my allergies (which I had pulled up on my MyChart) and left.👩⚕️ The doctor - The doctor came in 2-3 minutes later and did an exam. Looked at my lip, looked down my throat, examined my rash, and told me to wait, she'd be right back.🏥 Diagnosis and recommendations - As I waited and texted with my parents and friends who were also on vacation with us the doctor came back about five minutes later with a diagnosis and recommendations.💉 Treatment - We agreed to a shot of antihistamine (to avoid having an IV steroid drip) and instructions for a five-day regimen of the medication and also avoiding milk, eggs, nuts, fish, soy, seafood, beans, and grains. I was instructed to introduce them back into my diet one at a time to identify the culprit.👋 Discharge - Before we left we were escorted to the front desk by what we would call a patient advocate for final discharge and as we waited, he stood by and guided us through the patient satisfaction survey on his tablet. All in all the total of the bill was under $200 and I was in and out of the ER in an hour. Everything was included: facility charge, doctor's time, nurse's time, and injection. I left with a script for the oral medication and an Epipen (on paper). 👉 Had I had my health data sent in a discrete format to my portal (CCD-A) the experience would have been better. In the end, the ER staff did what it was meant to do they determined the severity, a direction, and the logical next steps in my treatment. Happy World Pharmacist Day! This year's theme, "Pharmacists Strengthening the Health System," underscores the pivotal role pharmacists play in enhancing healthcare services. They are not just medication experts; they are key contributors to the overall health system. By collaborating with other healthcare professionals, pharmacists optimize patient care, improve medication safety, and promote better health outcomes. Pharmacists provide medication therapy management, conduct health screenings, and offer patient counseling to ensure individuals receive the most appropriate and effective treatments. They also play a vital role in managing chronic diseases, promoting preventive care, and reducing healthcare costs. Furthermore, pharmacists contribute to public health initiatives by participating in immunization campaigns, educating communities about medication safety, and advocating for policy changes that benefit patient care. Let's recognize and appreciate the incredible work of pharmacists in strengthening our health system. Their expertise, dedication, and collaborative efforts make a significant impact on the well-being of individuals and communities worldwide. To all the pharmacists, thank you for your unwavering commitment to enhancing healthcare and strengthening our health system. #WorldPharmacistDay #PharmacistsStrengtheningHealthcare #HealthcareHeroes

Before a hospital visit, it’s expected that you might feel nervous, but there’s no need to worry about your doctor making a mistake. Medical errors are rare and often occur during care transitions.A prominent study found that up to 80 percent of serious medical errors involve miscommunication during the handoff between medical providers. Keep these four actions in mind during care transitions:Plan Ahead: Keep a list of medications, allergies, and medical history on hand.Ask Questions: Ensure you understand your care and treatment decisions. Bring Support: Have a family member, friend, or health advisor with you.Facilitate Communication: Request that your providers communicate directly. An expert health advisor can help mitigate risk by managing these transitions so you can focus on staying healthy._ _ _Have you experienced difficulties during care transitions?
