As Nurses and Patient Advocates, infection control has always played a key role in every aspect of our daily duties. Whether at the bedside, or through education as a Patient Advocate, we keep the risk of infection on our radar. We, as Nurses, are often called upon to administer antibiotics, when an infection has been identified.When an infection is resistant to antibiotics, it can be difficult or impossible to treat, which can lead to serious health consequences. In the following article I take a look at a recent article published in Health July 31, 2024, entitled New-Dual Target Drug Could Make Antibiotic Resistance 100 Million Times Harder, Clare Watson writes about a new study published in Nature Chemical Biology.
